I tend to fade into the background, but sometimes the greatest things come when you aren't even looking. Dancing saved my soul, I have a serious case of wanderlust, and my life is a quiet mess. I love it anyway.

Some guy in class said this today, and it’s true. Art, any art (dance, photography, music) may have technical aspects, but all those specifics aren’t what’s most important. It’s about the art of it, changing things up, being creative, and having passion.

B-boy Showdown II @ Sheldon
I’ve been missing out on so many dance events because I didn’t always feel comfortable going and being an “outsider”, but since I’ve been going again I realize how cool these things are. The events are always fun and get me motivated, just in life in general. Anyways, I like when people come into battles with creativity and musicality. More entertaining. I want to dance now.
Contact Improv
For modern today we did contact improv, which is basically all freestyling but you have to rely/interact with partner’s. You can’t just think about your own movement, you have to pay attention and connect to the people around you. Bah, it’s so hard, but it really shows you the relationships in dance and is kind of an inspiration.
