Color Run 2012.
Be healthy. Be happy. Be you.
I’m excited.

If anything, I can definitely say this event was entertaining. Coming out to a different city exposes you to a whole different scene than you’re used, and it is entirely refreshing and inspiring to see some new faces. This wasn’t the perfect event, and there were definitely some issues that needed to be worked out, but all in all I can at least say I enjoyed myself.
With any event, it’s still important to learn something. So here’s my random observations:
You need to dance to improve. Standing there just watching a cypher for awhile, you can even see certain people getting better. The one kid that starts off timid not being able to get started, and slowly builds bravery to actually come out.
Also, there is a specific culture that exists, and you need to learn to respect that. Obviously I don’t know everything, but with battles there is a certain amount off custom and tradition that plays out, if you want to show up you should at least learn the basics and show respect. Oh, and definitely learn your history.
And more than anything, it’s not just knowing how to dance it’s knowing how to battle.

Who Can Roast the Most? Finals - Renegade Rockers vs. Skill Methodz

In San Francisco yesterday our waiter was telling us how much better he liked it than Southern California. According to him, people down there “seem nice at first, but are really judgmental and care about looks/money”. Basically he thought everyone was fake. Bah, interesting though.
I still can’t wait to move. I need a change of scenery.
Y’all aren’t like that, are you really?
A Saturday in San Francisco Sometimes when you just let things happen they turn out beautifully. We had no plans for the trip (according to him we were “improv-ing life”), a group of completely random people came together. Baker’s Beach, Pizza Orgasmic, Pier 39, and a long city walk in the night. Everyone literally was crying from laughing so hard the whole time, even when we got lost and got pulled over.
Refreshing way to start Spring Break.
Happy Birthday Noe!

After all the planning, practicing, and persistence it’s almost here. Tomorrow is going to be a good day. If you live anywhere in Northern California, you should definitely be here!
Sactown Underground!
I miss the freedom of summer and wandering, the beach and the sun.
Let’s go to the coast, sit on the shore, and watch the day go by.
Yes, please?
Battle for Creative Arts - San Francisco, CA
Going down to SF for dance is always fun and inspiring. It’s interesting to see a different community of dancers and nice to see different faces. The ultimate is being able to see other individual styles. I feel like sometimes, especially in our area, dancers start to look alike. They all train together and that influences their style. (Don’t get me wrong, they are all amazing dancers, you just see how they dance similarly). It’s eye-opening.
Besides that, on the car ride home we had some really nice dance discussions and it can really put you into a better mindset.
Basically,
